New OSHA Videos Target Construction Safety — Safety Training Thursday

OSHA recently released 12 videos detailing safety measures employers and employees can take to make construction work safer. According to OSHA’s announcement, over 800 construction workers die on the job and construction fatalities account for 20% of annual workplace fatalities, that’s in addition to the 137,000 serious injuries that occur each year. The goals of the videos, which cover 5 main topics, Falls in Construction, Sprains and Strains, Struck-by-Accidents, Carbon Monoxide and Excavations, are to help “identify, reduce and eliminate construction-related hazards.”
The videos are designed for employer and worker training and based on true stories about worksite incidents that resulted in injury or death. They are available in both English and Spanish. You can watch the entire suite of videos by clicking on the links below.
