    At the Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC) conference today, Sven J. Rundman III, OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement Programs for the Office of Health Enforcement, announced that OSHA is considering a petition from the American Coatings Association (ACA), cosigned by 8 other associations, seeking temporary relief from the June 1, 2015 HazCom / GHS compliance deadline for the updating of labels and safety data sheets.

  • Health Canada Releases Proposed Hazardous Products Regulations in Canada Gazette Part 1

    WHMIS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and is Canada’s national hazard communication standard
    According to an Aug 9, 2014 email from Health Canada, the agency is seeking “written comments from all interested parties on this proposal to repeal and replace the Controlled Products Regulations, and make consequential amendments to related regulations, to implement the GHS in Canada.”
