Step 1

Select " Start > Settings > Control Panel " on your desktop as shown in Fig-1.

Double click Add/Remove Programs from the "Control Panel" window started in Step 1.

Step 3

Select Microsoft Access 2000 Runtime and select Add/Remove button on the pop-up window.


Step 4

Click on the Remove Microsoft Access 2000 Runtime


Step 5

Click on the Yes button that pops up after you completed Step 4.


Step 6

Start your windows explorer and Navigate to the location where Access 97 is installed on your computer. The most common location is typically in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office


Step 7

Delete the file called MSaccess.exe

Step 8

Put your Microsoft Office 97 Professional CD in your CDROM Drive.

Step 9

Copy the file called Msaccess.exe from your CDROM Drive. The file is usually in the Office folder.
Example E:\Office\msaccess.exe


Step 10

Paste the Msaccess.exe file into the Directory where you previously deleted it from.


You are now ready to begin using your Microsoft Access 97 application.
