  1. Inside Sales (Chicago)

    No sales experience required. We are aggressively seeking talented, money motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are looking to establish a career in sales. We are interviewing for entry level positions, all of which have the opportunity for advancement. The perfect candidate must possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. We also value great people skills, ambition and integrity. Technical Sales background is not a prerequisite; we will train you with a complete set of skills to help build your earning potential.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Calling on informed customers (warm leads) and presenting on-line demonstrations of our services
    • Providing product and pricing information
    • Making follow-up phone calls and maintaining relationships with potential customers
    • Preparing written proposals
    • Managing & qualifying leads
    • Garnering new business. Sales Representatives are encouraged to prospect, cold call and sell to all levels within organizations (i.e. small businesses to Fortune 500 companies)

    Skills/Qualifications:
    • Energetic, innovative, and flexible personality
    • Strong Internet and computer literacy skills in MSFT Word, MSFT Excel, MSFT Outlook, MS Access
    • Able to create and maintain customer relationships
    • Basic understanding of technology and Internet deployed services preferred but not required
    • Excellent customer relationship skills

    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong decision-making and organizational skills

  2. Web Designer (Chicago)

    Reporting directly to the Director of Web Application Design and UI, we are looking for a Web Designer to be part of our Product Development team. MSDSonline’s products are widely known as being among the most user friendly and functional applications in the Environmental Health and Safety software market. Our 100% web based platform affords us the ability to rapidly continue the improvement of our products. Future releases will focus a great deal on user interface and overall design enhancements for our products as well as marketing website. This candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining the user interfaces for our websites and web-based applications within the context of its existing product platform. The Web Designer plays a critical role in the formulation and implementation of new products and services.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • As an integral part of design team member you will be working and supporting our Web applications and corporate websites, including layout, styles, navigation, look/feel and graphics.
    • Articulate product requirements in to Flows, Navigation Maps, User stories or Scenarios, wireframes.
    • Designing user interfaces, producing pixel-perfect mock-ups.
    • Working closely with design and software development teams to ensure design and style guide standards are being met.
    • Producing html and CSS with Div based layout. Testing on cross browser compatibility issues and resolving them.
    • Follow and implement usability and user centered design methodology and best practices.
    • Keep abreast of developments in related trends pertaining to interactive design.

    Skills/Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in HCI is preferred.
    • 3 years minimum web design experience.
    • Understanding of usability / user centered design, interactive design principles, and on-line branding.
    • Strong experience with layout, hierarchy, and user interface design.
    • Experience maintaining and documenting design standards is preferred.
    • Detailed Oriented for Review Web pages for style consistency and accuracy.
    • Proficient with HTML, CSS, and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash, Dreamweaver.
    • Access to web portfolio would be very helpful.
